Chimp was slang used at Microsoft to describe developers who are working on a new product initiative; on a brand new idea!

At ChimpsAtWork, as the name suggests, we are all chimps. We work on new ideas and develop solutions to hard-to-solve problems - where our existing knowledge is challenged and creativity is stimulated.

We do not work on easy projects like landing pages or simple apps. We do end-to-end development of platforms and run them on the cloud. We start with architecture and then build-release-operate multiple versions over time. We are no different than having in-house engineering for the product.
