You become eligible for promotion when all of the following are true:
You demonstrate excellent performance consistently across your current level KRAs over two or more consecutive quarters
You consistently show next-level behaviors, ownership, and decision-making aligned with the KRAs of the next role
(typically reflected as ~30% or higher performance, but evaluated as a trend rather than a hard cutoff, even if you are not yet formally accountable for that scope)
Your manager confirms role readiness, supported by signals from peers, clients, or senior engineers, where applicable
Promotion decisions are holistic and consider trajectory, scope expansion, and impact — not just numerical scores.
Promotion evidence is generated through your regular work, without requiring additional decks or presentations.
