What is a KRA?

KRA stands for Key Responsibility Areas.

At CAW, KRAs explain what is expected from you at your role level — not in terms of daily tasks, but in terms of ownership, behavior, and impact.

Think of KRAs as:

• A clear answer to “What does doing well in this role look like?”
• A guide for feedback, reviews, and growth
• A map for how to move to the next level

KRAs are not about micromanagement or hours worked.

They’re about how you operate as an engineer.

Why We Use KRAs

We use KRAs so that:

• Expectations are clear and fair
• Feedback is specific, not vague
• Growth is intentional, not guesswork
• Promotions are based on evidence, not opinions
